Kate Baigent

I lead the Residential Property team, and also carry out related commercial work for clients in the development and farming sectors, and those with small businesses and similar commercial interests.
I work closely with our Private Client Team and with colleagues in the Family, Insolvency and Property Litigation Department. I thrive on finding solutions to problems encountered in all property related matters.
I became a Partner in the Property Department at Brachers in 1990 and have been proud to have been part of a very successful firm which has always adapted to the changing demands of society whilst maintaining the links and traditions established in Kent over many years.
After studying English at Oxford I sought a professional qualification and chose Law at Guildford. Articles in Canterbury followed and when newly qualified I came to Brachers which I found to be ideally placed in the heart of Kent’s thriving commercial and private communities.
I try to find time to balance the demands of a busy working and family life to pursue my interest in music, being a long standing member of the Maidstone Symphony Orchestra.
